“Information and Communication Technologies and Programming” (ICT&P),
held annually since 1976.

Aims and Scope

The conference is a good opportunity for foreign experts to make contacts with Bulgarian computer scientists, as well as to visit some interesting places in Bulgaria (Varna is a major port at the beautiful  Black Sea coast).
All accepted papers will be published in the Conference Proceedings. The authors can also submit their papers for publishing in the International Journal  "Information Theories and Applications" (IJITA) and will receive a recommendation from the programme committee.

The conference will be devoted to the development of the information society in all fields of human activity:

- Healthcare
- Science

- Entertainment
- Legal Relations
- Social Relations
- Criminal Activities and Counteraction

In addition to these topics, authors can submit  papers on  other subjects in the field of information and communication technologies and programming.
If five or more papers are accepted on a side topic, a special session will be organized on that topic.

Special Workshop

The SECOND SPECIAL WORKSHOP ON MULTIMEDIA SEMANTICS is a part of the 29th in a series of conferences “Information and Communication Technologies and Programming” (ICT&P). The workshop is a good opportunity for foreign experts to make contacts with Bulgarian computer scientists, as well as to visit some interesting places in Balkan peninsulas. All accepted papers will be published in the International Journal ”Information Theories and Applications" (IJITA).

The Association is a non-government, not-profit Bulgarian organization. The members of the Association include Bulgarian Universities and Cultural Institutions.
Computer science development in Bulgaria have started from the Institute of Mathematics and Informatics of Bulgarian Academy of Sciences. The Institute of Mathematics and Informatics is a scientific institute of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences. It is the leading institute of computer science studies in Bulgaria.

Papers

The accepted papers will be published in the Conference Proceedings.

For preparing the papers for ICT&P please follow the requirements of ICT&P Program Committee given on the www.math.bas.bg/infres/ictp.

The authors could present the papers for publishing in the IJ ITA and will receive a recommendation from the programme committee.
From the beginning of 2003, IJ ITA has some new requirements. Please follow the IJ ITA requirements for manuscripts.

Presentation

Authors will have 20-30 min to present their paper. They will be able to use an overhead or multimedia projector.

Paper Structure

Paper should include: Title and Author information, Abstract and Keywords, Introduction, Main text, Conclusion and Acknowledgment, References. Please follow the requirements given below.
Papers must be written in English. Papers must be no more than 8 pages in camera ready black and white A5 RTF or MS WORD DOC format.
Standard text area is 108x170 mm. Use one or one_and_a_half line spacing. Put pictures in the text. Use "Times New Roman" font. Height of letters must be 11 pt. Begin the heading 20-mm below upper edge of the text area. The heading must contain: title of the paper, name(s), post and e-mail address(es) of the author(s). Leave three lines blank below heading and continue the actual text with the abstract and keywords on the same page.
The camera-ready copy of the paper should be received by e-mail.
All contributions will be immediately acknowledged also by e-mail. The authors of the accepted papers will receive the comments of the reviewers and instructions for the final layout of the camera-ready hard copy for inclusion into the conference proceedings, as well as detailed information about visiting Bulgaria. The authors of the accepted papers undertake the obligation to present their papers at the conference.

The official languages of the Conference is English.

Conference fee

The basic conference fees:
- Authors and participants - 200 EURO
- Accompanying persons - 60 EURO
The basic conference fee covers admission to conference sessions, the conference proceedings, other documentation, refreshments, a welcome party, a reservation fee for a room at a suitable hotel (we work with hotels that provide good quality of service at inexpensive rates).
